Happy World Card Making Day!
For once I wasn't scheduled to work on World Card Making Day and I actually managed to complete a couple of cards:) The current challenge at CASology caught my eye:
so I pulled out a couple of oldies but goodies and did some water coloring with my distress markers.
In my neck of the woods the harvesting of grapes eventually = WINE :) After embossing this Holly Berry House grape image on a watercolor panel I colored it with distress markers (peeled paint, dusty concord and milled lavender) and an aqua brush. After it dried I partially over stamped the grapes with Hero Arts La Lettre. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink First Fruits set.
Other Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink rustic white cs, natural twine
I've always loved cornucopias! What better way to represent the bounty of harvest time?
This one is from a really old Stampin' Up set. I did the same thing here as I did with the grape image. I really wanted to frame it but also keep the design more CAS so I decided to die cut the frame from the same PTI rustic white cs as the card base. Sentiment is also from PTI First Fruits set.
Other Supplies Used: Stampin' Up woodgrain embossing folder, orange raffia
This was definitely ALOT more fun than cleaning the house - too bad we can't have a World Card Making Day once a month:)

Beautiful cards, Robin! I love how you overstamped the grapes with La Lettre and did the same for the Cornupcopia. Looks so pretty! You are just about the sweetest person ever! I am so grateful for you ....wishing you lots of autumn blessings!!

Gorgeous cards, Robin! I love your beautiful coloring and the over-stamping with La Lettre.
I have always loved the mix of an image with text, so you know I love both of your cards, my friend! Beautifully done!
So beautiful and fantastic colouring. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology
what a gorgeous card, robin!! I love how you over stamped the grape image with the script! thanks so much for playing along with CASology!
These are beauties, Robin - real art. Love the white-on-white background on the first and the bright contrast of the frame on the second. These make me feel all warm and cozy (or is that the wine?!). I spent the day at my LSS making 6 fun projects - wish you could have joined us.
Love your use of text & beautiful watercoloring! You've inspired me again, Robin!
WOW, stunning cards, Robin! Congratulations on the well-deserved HM honor for the beautiful grape harvest card!!
